  • ¼ tsp fine sea salt (for crumble)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and sugar for the crust. Cut in cold butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Gradually add ice-cold water until dough holds together. Chill for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Peel and slice apples; toss with sugar, flour, and cinnamon in a bowl and let rest.
  4. Roll out chilled dough and place into pie dish. Fill with apple mixture.
  5. For the topping, mix softened butter, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt until crumbly; sprinkle over apples.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for about 60 minutes or until golden brown.
