  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3/4 cup breadcrumbs (or gluten-free alternative)
  • 1 egg lightly beaten (or flax egg for vegan version)
  • 1 cup plain yogurt (Greek or regular)
  • 1 clove garlic minced (for yogurt sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (for yogurt sauce)
  • Salt and pepper to taste (for yogurt sauce)
  • A sprinkle of fresh dill or mint (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine drained chickpeas, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cilantro, lemon zest, lemon juice, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Pulse until chunky.
