Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter (melted and cooled)
  • 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 can (15 oz) pure pumpkin puree
  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet or white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup pecans (coarsely chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 13 x 9-inch baking pan with aluminum foil and lightly spray it with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Stir in the egg, vanilla extract, and pumpkin puree until well incorporated.
  4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Add chocolate chips and pecans; gently mix until evenly distributed.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake for about 35 to 38 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs attached.
  7. Allow cooling in the pan for at least 10–15 minutes before slicing into squares.
