  • 1 lb heirloom tomatoes (mixed colors)
  • 1 English cucumber (or 4 Persian cucumbers)
  • 5 scallions (thinly sliced)
  • 1 red chili pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 cup basil leaves
  • 3 Tbsp low-sodium Tamari
  • 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 23 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Steam the frozen gyoza according to package instructions until tender, about 6-8 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together Tamari, balsamic vinegar, and maple syrup to create the dressing.
  3. Slice heirloom tomatoes and cucumbers thinly; add to a large mixing bowl along with sliced scallions and diced chili pepper if desired.
  4. Gently toss in the steamed gyoza with the fresh vegetables.
  5. Drizzle the dressing over the mixture and gently combine until everything is coated.
