Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (each about 250 grams)
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves (grated)
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1/21 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium)
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry and season generously with salt, pepper, and paprika on all sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the salmon fillets skin-side up and cook for about three minutes until golden brown.
  3. Carefully flip the fillets and move them aside in the pan. Add unsalted butter to the empty space, allowing it to melt before adding garlic, ginger, and chili flakes. Stir for about 10-20 seconds.
  4. Pour in honey, lime juice, and soy sauce; simmer for about 4-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Return the salmon to the pan, basting with the sauce for another minute until heated through.
  6. Serve garnished with fresh cilantro and lime wedges.
