  • 4 egg whites
  • 4 whole eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1½ cups buttermilk
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp almond extract
  • Zest of 1 orange (optional)
  • Neon orange gel food coloring
  • Neon purple gel food coloring
  • Black gel food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a Bundt pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg whites and whole eggs one at a time.
  4. Mix in vanilla and almond extracts.
  5. Alternate adding dry ingredients and buttermilk until combined.
  6. Divide batter into three bowls; color one orange, one purple, and leave one black.
  7. Pour spoonfuls of each color into the Bundt pan and swirl gently with a knife.
  8. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool before serving; garnish if desired.
