  • 10 oz frozen spinach, thawed and liquid squeezed out
  • 6 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 3/4 cup canned artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Pinch of crushed red pepper flakes
  • All-purpose flour, for surface
  • 2 sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed according to package directions
  • 12 skewers
  • 6 slices Provolone

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix thawed spinach, cream cheese, mozzarella, chopped artichokes, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes until well combined.
  3. Roll out puff pastry sheets on a floured surface. Layer the filling between two pastry sheets and cut into strips.
  4. Fold each strip in a zig-zag pattern to form tree shapes and skewer them.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Cut stars from Provolone slices and skewer onto the top of each tree.
