  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry
  • 1 cup Canned Pumpkin Puree
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cloves
  • 1 beaten Egg for brushing
  • Optional: Powdered Sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and ground cloves until well combined.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about ¼ inch thickness. Cut into strips approximately 2 inches wide.
  4. Spoon pumpkin filling onto one end of each strip and fold over the other end. Twist gently to create a spiral shape.
  5. Place twists on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush each with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  6. Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar if desired.
