  • 1 small head of cabbage
  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef or turkey
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ½ cup shredded cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (or broth)
  • 1 egg (optional, for binding)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the cabbage into thick rounds and brush both sides with olive oil.
  3. In a bowl, combine ground meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce (or broth), and optional egg. Mix well.
  4. Press burger mixture onto each cabbage slice to form patties.
  5. Bake in the oven for about 25 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Sprinkle cheese on top and broil for 3-5 minutes until melted.
