Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup hot honey
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Canola or vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and slice them into strips about an inch wide.
  2. Set up a dredging station: whisk eggs in one bowl and mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in another bowl.
  3. Dip each chicken strip into the egg wash, letting excess drip off before coating thoroughly in the flour mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering (about half an inch deep).
  5. Fry the coated chicken strips in batches for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
  6. Drain on paper towels and drizzle generously with hot honey before serving.
