Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz smoked chicken sausage, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or quinoa for serving
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, warm olive oil. Add sliced chicken sausage and cook for about 4-5 minutes until browned. Remove from skillet.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet; season with salt and pepper, cooking for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque. Set aside with sausage.
  4. Sauté broccoli in the same skillet for about 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp; add a splash of water if needed.
  5. Return sausage and shrimp to the skillet; pour sauce over everything and stir well. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Serve over rice or quinoa; garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
