Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups warm water (95110 degrees F)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1½ tablespoons active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup avocado oil
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 8½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Grease three 8.5" x 4.5" bread pans.
  2. In a stand mixer bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  3. Add avocado oil, salt, eggs, and half the flour to the yeast mixture. Mix on low speed until combined.
  4. Gradually add remaining flour until dough pulls away from sides; knead on medium speed for about 3 minutes.
  5. Cover dough with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm spot until doubled in size (30-45 minutes).
  6. Divide dough into three pieces; shape each into an 8" x 12" rectangle and roll tightly.
  7. Place loaves seam-side down in greased pans; brush with egg wash and let rise again until doubled (30-45 minutes).
  8. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and bake loaves for about 28-30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Brush tops with melted butter while warm; cool in pans for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
