  • prepared pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup sliced white mushrooms
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Fresh basil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F.
  2. In a saucepan, combine tomato sauce, salt, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder; heat for 5 minutes.
  3. Roll out the pizza dough into a 14×14-inch circle on a pizza stone.
  4. Spread the warm sauce on the dough, leaving an inch around the edges.
  5. Create a spiderweb design with shredded mozzarella.
  6. Prepare mushroom slices by cutting small lines at the bottom and poking holes for eyes.
  7. Arrange mushroom ‘skulls’ on the pizza.
  8. Bake for 10 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cut fresh mozzarella into ghost shapes; add them after the first baking, then return to bake for another 2 minutes.
  10. Garnish with basil leaves and serve hot!
