Ingredients
Scale
1 Tablespoon olive oil
3–4 cups broccoli florets
1 pound lean ground beef
2–3 cloves garlic (minced)
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Freshly-ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add broccoli florets and sauté for 3-4 minutes until vibrant and tender-crisp. Remove from skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add ground beef and minced garlic, cooking for 5-6 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat.
In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, ginger, red pepper flakes, and black pepper. Pour into the skillet with beef and cook for another 2-3 minutes until thickened.
Return broccoli to the skillet, toss to combine, and season with salt as needed.
