Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 slices of your favorite bread (sourdough or whole grain)
  • 6 slices of cheese (cheddar or American)
  • Butter for grilling

Instructions

  1. Mix ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Form into three equal-sized patties.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook each patty for about 4-5 minutes per side until cooked through.
  3. Place a slice of cheese on each hot patty to melt.
  4. Butter one side of two slices of bread. In a clean skillet, place one slice butter-side down and add the patty with melted cheese on top. Top with another slice of bread (butter-side up).
  5. Grill on medium-low heat until both sides are golden brown; about 3-4 minutes each side.
  6. Let cool slightly before slicing in half and serve warm.
