  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup semolina flour

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup honey, warmed
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Layer one sheet of phyllo in the dish and brush it generously with melted butter. Repeat with six more sheets.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together semolina flour, eggs, sugar, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth. Pour over the phyllo base.
  4. Add the final layer of phyllo on top, brushing each layer with butter. Score lightly for steam release.
  5. Bake for about 40–45 minutes until golden brown and set. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
  6. Drizzle warmed honey on top and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds before slicing.
