  • 4 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 cup whole milk (warmed)
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • Flaky sea salt (for finishing)

Instructions

  1. Lightly butter the bottom and sides of a 9×13 pan.
  2. In a small pot, melt butter and add minced garlic; cook until fragrant.
  3. In a stand mixer bowl, mix flour, parsley, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add warmed milk, egg, and garlic butter. Knead until smooth (10-12 minutes).
  4. Cut dough into 12 pieces and shape into balls; place in the prepared pan. Cover and let rise until doubled (1-2 hours).
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Brush tops with beaten egg wash and bake for 20-30 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Brush baked rolls with additional garlic butter and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
