  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey/chicken)
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente; drain.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked; drain excess fat.
  4. Mix ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl until combined.
  5. In a baking dish, spread marinara sauce on the bottom, layer three noodles, half the ricotta mixture, half the ground beef, and a sprinkle of mozzarella. Repeat layers and finish with remaining sauce.
  6. Top with leftover mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden on top. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
