Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Flour (for dredging)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced thin)
  • 1 large clove garlic (minced)
  • 3/4 cup apple vinegar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Slice each chicken breast in half lengthwise to create thinner cutlets. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then lightly coat with flour.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken cutlets for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and cremini mushrooms; cook for 3-5 minutes until browned.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and apple vinegar; simmer for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.
  5. Add heavy cream, mix well, then return the chicken to the skillet. Cook for another 4-5 minutes until heated through and coated in sauce.
