  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Chocolate chips for topping

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Toast chopped nuts in a skillet over medium heat until golden and fragrant.
  3. In a saucepan, combine butter, sugar, salt, and water over medium heat. Stir until melted and golden (about 300°F).

  5. Pour mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly.
