  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • â…“ cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
  • 28 oz frozen tater tots
  • ½ cup ketchup (plus more for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease your baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, 1 cup cheddar cheese, and ketchup. Mix until just combined.
  3. Spread the meat mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the meat mixture.
  5. Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes until cooked through and tater tots are golden brown.
  6. Sprinkle remaining cheese over the tater tots and return to the oven for an additional 5–7 minutes until melted.
  7. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
