  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white granulated sugar

  • 1 1/2 cups unbleached flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Soften the butter in the microwave for about 20 seconds until soft but not melted.
  3. In a large bowl, mix softened butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth.
  4. Add egg and vanilla extract; stir well to combine.
  5. Gradually mix in flour and baking soda until just combined.
  6. Using a two-tablespoon scoop, dollop dough onto a lined cookie sheet without pressing down.
  7. Create crisscross patterns with a fork on each dough ball.
  8. Sprinkle sea salt on top if desired before baking.
  9. Bake for about 9 minutes; let cool on the baking sheet for 15 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
