  • 1 cup + 6 tablespoons unsalted butter (cold)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • â…” cup ice water (cold)
  • 1½ cups apple butter
  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)
  • ¼ cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla paste or extract
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla paste or extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. For the crust, combine flour and salt in a food processor. Add cold butter and pulse until pea-sized crumbs form. Gradually add ice water until dough comes together.
  3. Chill the dough for at least 1 hour, then roll out and fit into a pie dish.
  4. Par-bake the crust for about 15 minutes until lightly golden.
  5. In a bowl, mix apple butter, eggs, brown sugar, flour, sweetened condensed milk, and heavy cream until smooth.
  6. Pour filling into the pre-baked crust and bake for 40-45 minutes until edges are set but center jiggles slightly.
  7. Allow to cool completely before slicing.
