  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • For frosting: 6 ounces cream cheese, 5 tablespoons butter, 2 cups powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by sprinkling it over warm milk. Let it froth for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Combine eggs, melted butter, and sugar; mix gently until combined.
  3. Add salt and flour (start with 4 cups), mixing until just combined. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
  4. Knead the dough on medium speed until smooth and elastic, adding more flour if necessary.
  5. Place in a greased bowl to rise for about 30 minutes until doubled.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread apple butter, and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
