  • 450g / 1lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 34 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste (or grated ginger)
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • Optional: 1/4 tsp chili flakes
  • For garnish: 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix soy sauce and cornstarch. Toss in the shrimp until well coated and let sit briefly.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Sauté garlic and ginger for about 30 seconds.
  3. Add shrimp to the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
  4. Stir in honey (and chili flakes if using), tossing to coat the shrimp evenly. Remove from heat and garnish with green onions before serving.
